Isabella Lazzarino training a Dutch Shepherd — one trainer for your dog's whole life

Your trainer

Hi, I'm Isabella.

I'm a San Francisco dog trainer, and I do this the old-fashioned way — I work your dog myself, start to finish. I came up through working breeds and competitive obedience, so the "difficult" dogs other trainers send away are the ones I love most. But whether you've got a brand-new puppy or a rescue who's been through a lot, my job is the same: build a calm, clear relationship between the two of you, and teach you how to keep it. No ego, no judgment, no cookie-cutter programs.

How it works

Three steps to a better dog

1

Book a free consult.

Tell me about your dog and what you want to change — 30 minutes, no pressure.

2

Get a custom plan.

I recommend the right program and build a plan around your dog's temperament and your life.

3

Train, then take over.

I do the training and teach you to maintain it — so the results last long after we're done.

Results

Real dogs. Real change.

A few of the dogs I've worked with around the city — and what their owners say about the work.

I'd tried two trainers before Isabella. She's the first who actually understood my reactive shepherd — and taught me what to do. We walk past dogs on Market Street now.

Balanced training, explained honestly.

"Balanced" just means I use the whole toolbox fairly: reward the behavior you want, communicate clearly when something's off, and always in a way your dog understands. No fear, no gimmicks — just consistent, humane feedback tailored to the dog in front of me. I'll always explain what I'm doing and why.

Let's get started.

Book a free consult and I'll help you figure out the right next step for your dog — even if that's not working with me.

How do I get started?

Book a free 30-minute consult. We'll talk through what's going on with your dog and what you want, and I'll recommend the right program — no pressure, no obligation.

Do you offer financing?

Yes — programs over $1,000 can be split into monthly payments through Affirm/Klarna. Ask at your consult.

What is balanced training?

Using the whole toolbox fairly: rewarding the behavior you want and giving clear, consistent feedback when something's off — always humanely, always explained.

How long until I see results?

Many owners see change quickly, but lasting results depend on consistency at home — which is exactly what I train you to do.

Do you guarantee results?

I guarantee my effort, expertise, and honesty. Any trainer who guarantees to fix behavior is overpromising — dogs aren't appliances.
